Scott Dustin
Over six years ago, Scott had a life changing experience. After almost losing his wife in a near-fatal car accident, he began to see how fragile and precious life really is. Realizing that he had been taking many things for granted and not truly appreciating the world and people around him, Scott began to view the world in a different manner.
He started woodcarving as a hobby during his wife’s recovery to relax and relieve stress. After creating several pieces and giving them to family and friends, he soon realized he was given a great gift. Scott decided to peruse his gift and soon had quite a selection of tools and equipment including traditional chisels, gouges, rotary instruments and chainsaws. He left his fifteen-year career in the family construction business in 1999 and now sculpts full time at his studio near Burkittsville Maryland.
